I am happy to report that the result of the year is positive.
Thanks to good financial management, and some of our 2024 projects activities happening in 2025, we could report 140.500 EUR from 2024 to 2025, to support relevant activities. We close the 2024 with a surplus of 1237 EUR, which is 501 EUR lower than planned in our Budget Forecast 2024. Our income is 1.005.860 and Expenditures 1.004.623 euros.
As a non-profit organisation, our income is dedicated to support our mission directly.
We spent 467.258 EUR for EFA and EU projects, and 538.050 EUR for EFA core programmes on Community (such as our Members Community Meeting and Members Working Groups), Care (for example our responses in EU policy consultations and participation in EU HTA Stakeholder Forum), Prevention (such as our work for better food allergen labelling at Codex Alimentarius Commission and Climate Change work on air quality).
Looking ahead for 2025, we made two investments: we took the initiative to have two experienced project managers instead of one, to free time from policy, communications and leadership to focus on their expertise work and to manage our projects in the most effective way. We also decided to hire an Office Manager, first ever EFA dedicated office and admin professional to support our organisation.
The numbers tell me that we are a financially healthy organisation.
My Board colleagues and I are between focusing our activities on one hand, and the needs in our communities for a diversity of activities and projects, on the other. These needs to bring the change in allergy, atopic eczema, asthma and COPD care, prevention and patient participation and leadership in Europe, do require a joint effort, and crucially, more funds both at European and national level to the work of EFA community.
However, the progress is there, reported right here in our Annual Report, and it belongs to all who have supported us. Thank you.
