Last year here EFA Board directed our organisation through their five online and in person meetings, as well as through their participation in important initiatives by EFA and our partner organisations.
The Board inspired a new EFA membership fee structure, a need for our community, to welcome national organisations who are representative of the allergy, atopic eczema, asthma or COPD patients in their country, they are legitimate, they are democratic, work transparently and independently.
The Board formally approved an EFA insurance policy to cover, aside of staff insurances, civil responsibility both for volunteers and staff, and travel for volunteers, in particular the Board members, in case of incidents such as illness or disability. EFA also contracted an upgraded general insurance for the organisation.
In their strategic meeting, the Board guided our multiannual programmes planning for 2025, focusing on EFA communities, the members and partner organisations.
The Board leads, President and Vice President, held weekly update calls with EFA Director, covering important issues in our partnerships with medical societies, public health NGOs and corporate partners, and ensuring they are guided at the highest level of our governance.
Key outcomes of the work of the Board include approval of:
