Building on our 2023-2025 strategic plan, we deepened our focus on the health impacts of climate-driven factors such as air pollution, extreme heat, pollen, sandstorms, and wildfire emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout 2024, we worked closely with our patient community to develop patient-centred information and recommendations on environmental determinants of health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EFA also expanded its role as a key stakeholder in EU policy discussions, advocating for stronger measures to protect respiratory and allergy patients from climate-related health threats. Through these efforts, we reinforced our commitment to ensuring that climate policies reflect the needs and lived experiences of those most vulnerable to its effects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2025, we will further strengthen our advocacy efforts by engaging policymakers and patient communities as well as broaden our search for EU-funding opportunities to ensure that climate adaptation and mitigation policies fully integrate health considerations, particularly for allergy and respiratory patients.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EFA strengthened its Climate Change programme in 2024, ensuring that allergy, asthma, and COPD patients are at the centre of discussions on climate-related health risks.
