EFA and EFA Members stand by the fact that prevention and addressing risk factors are key areas to improve the health of those living with allergies and airways diseases.

Through the #ShowLeadership campaign, we look to instill in decision-makers that prevention takes many forms and shapes. Primary prevention is about addressing the risk factors that transform people into patients. Secondary prevention is about avoiding further exacerbations for people already affected by allergies and airways diseases.

Unfortunately, according to the 2018 State of Health in the EU report, less than 3% of health spending is devoted to health promotion and disease prevention. At EFA, we want policy-makers to take responsibility and transform words into actions. We want them to show leadership in improving the policy response to risk factors associated with allergies and airways diseases.

Help us disseminate them and endorse our campaign. #ShowLeadership!
