The purpose of this call is to invite tenders for the contract of report writer/consultant that will perform a desk review and draft a patient-friendly report for EFA's 2022 GUIDE Asthma Project. The project aims to assess the current information available to patients on asthma management with the ultimate goal of developing patient-friendly asthma guidelines for improved disease management.
The consultant will perform desk research to explore existing educational material for asthma patients across Europe, considering also the results of an internal EFA survey and workshop. The workshop aims to discuss and collect best practices at national level from participating EFA members and the global asthma community.
The consultant will then draft the patient-friendly report based on Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) report, taking into consideration the gaps identified with the desk research. It will need to address different audiences such as child, teenage and adult patients, and carers.
The report will have a digital, interactive format and should be written in a patient-friendly manner, containing accurate scientific information that will help asthma patients. It will contain an evidence-based asthma management strategy for the use of patients.
The work will be developped under the management of EFA and in collaboration with GINA and other medical associations.
