About EFA
In November 1991, patient associations from eight European countries (Finland, Germany, Iceland, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and the UK) came together in Stockholm with the goal to create a federation advocating for the needs of allergy and asthma patients across Europe. They founded the European Federation of Asthma and Allergy Associations (EFA). EFA gathers now 45 member organisations across 26 countries in Europe EFA is a European community of patient organizations active for 30 years. If you wish to engage with local patient groups to discuss or receive support in dealing with the atopic eczema, allergy, asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), we invite you to visit EFA’s website and contact our national patient associations.
