EFA Spanish Member FENAER brought the perspective of respiratory patients to the SEPAR Pacientes meeting. Mª Emilia Carretero, FENAER Board Member highlighted that patient participation should be embedded in all decisions policy decisions, in order to improve care for patients, through their experiences, expressing services that can improve, and those that do not represent a great benefit to the patient. According to FENAER, patient participation would maximize resources, since patients are the best source of information to improve health care, and ultimately, health.
