On the 21st of February, EFA Director of Policy and Strategy Roberta Savli participated in an event organised by a broad coalition of public health actors on the need to prioritise patients’ safety and public health across Europe post-Brexit. Earlier in the negotiations phase, leading European health groups, including EFA partner the European Patients’ Forum, had called on the EU and the UK to prioritise patients as the final decision on article 50 was approaching (see the document here). In the following months, EFA will work more deeply on the issue to make sure that all patients, on both sides of the Channel, are not undermined by the UK leaving the European Union. EFA has three active members in the United Kingdom and we will continue representing them to ensure that they are involved in decision-making and their voice heard.
