Self-management of respiratory diseases through the use of mobile technologies is one of the topics of the moment. Therefore the ERS 2015 Congress in Asmterdam represented a perfect opportunity to highlight qnd promote the myAirCoach project. A project brochure was distributed by all partners present at the Congress and was available to the public at the EFA desk in the world village. The brochure will serve as a promotional tool for the project during its entire life-cycle. It is addressed to all stakeholders (patients, healthcare professionals and providers, researchers) interested in knowing how myAirCoach will bring innovation in Asthma treatment and will put the patients in the position to manage their disease effectively.
The brochure is also available for download at EFA and myAirCoach websites.
In addition, the members of the Advisory Patient Forum, who are extensively contributing to myAirCoach activities, including the production of the project project, had the opportunity to meet in person for the first time on Monday 29th and to discuss their involvement in the project. Representatives from project partners Imperial College, Leiden University and Aerocrine, together with the APF coordinators EFA and Asthma UK, also joined the meeting. They met with the patients to present their role and work in the project and exchange views on the expected outcomes of the project.
