We wish to report on the second TC of the Digital Health Topic Group that was held by the European Medicines Agency organised in January. As Members of the group, EFA will be contributing to the task forces on eHealth, social media, and Real World Evidence because all three are crucial for asthma, allergy and COPD patients. More specifically, we will bring our input to the agency’s work with ideas, comments and examples of best practices. The group’s work has kicked off with the preparation of an EMA workshop on digital media that will take place within the EMA Patients and Consumers and Healtchcare professionals Working Parties in April and with a follow-up on the recommendations for the use of social media for medicine regulation, pharmacovigilance and safety communications.
