The European Medicines Agency (EMA), patients & healthcare professionals have been actively interacting since the creation of the Agency in 1995 to increase transparency and improve regulatory processes of medicines. In March, EMA Human Scientific Committees’ Working Parties with Patients’ and Consumers’ Organisations (PCWP) and Healthcare Professionals’ Organisations (HCPWP) had a joint meeting to discuss findings emerging from recent information-related surveys, to shape the production and use of medicines information, assess the role of different actors, and identify potential areas that would benefit from further research.
EFA is member of the PCWP since 2010 and was represented by Lina Buzermaniene, EFA official representative, and Roberta Savli, EFA alternate member.
