On May 14th, the second review meeting of the CURE asthma project took place. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the update had to happen virtually.
Being an EU funded project under the EU Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, the CURE initiative’s progress and activities get presented to representatives of the European Commission on a regular basis.
EFA responsible for dissemination and communication
As an active member of CURE asthma, EFA is responsible for the project’s communication and dissemination activities. Amongst others, those include the publication of external newsletters, development and dissemination of informational materials and interviews to CURE partners.
Positive feedback from European Commission
During the meeting, the Commission’s representatives showed themselves satisfied with the work done by the several project partners. Besides some recommendations on operational issues, the overall feedback on the project’s progress was positive.
CURE: Eubiosis Reinstatement Therapy
The CURE asthma research project has been launched in 2017 and involves 10 partners from seven countries. It is proposing a phage therapy that could control the immune dysregulation of the disease and may eventually be able to cure it.
