EFA’s member from France, FFAAIR, acknowledged World COPD Day on 18th November through taking part in a national debate on "Make COPD healthcare a priority”, and a roundtable discussion on COPD and tobacco. FFAAIR also shared various videos to share the experience of COPD patients and tobacco issues.
Their sister organisation, Solid'Air 71, helped organise a Tour de France national challenge with patient groups on Facebook. The challenge was to achieve 3,400 km through walking or cycling, at home or with a caregiver, to raise awareness for COPD. In total, 9,415km was covered by 365 patients who took part.
