Our Annual Report 2023 reflects a year of dedication and progress in improving the lives of respiratory patients in Europe. EFA has launched a new programmatic approach 2023-2025, enhancing our advocacy for allergy, atopic eczema, asthma, and COPD across Europe. Other highlights include:
Community: Continued engagement and support to young patient advocates and the launch of the #KeepBreathing campaign with the European Lung Health Group.
Prevent: Our patient perspective informing EU plans for a tobacco-free generation and significant contributions to global food safety standards to improve quality of life for people with food allergy.
Care: Regulatory engagement in addressing patient unmet medical needs; the breakthrough of the first EU earmarked budget for chronic respiratory diseases that EFA will partially implement through a project, and the launch of our community project to improve patient education AboutAsthma.org.
Climate Change: Crucial involvement in shaping air quality policies to protect health and joining the WHO Alliance for Transformative Action on Climate and Health.
