COMMUNITY, - Research Projects

EFA is thrilled to join the LungHealth4Life (LH4L) project aiming to boost lung health through early intervention in schools across Europe. Leading the Stakeholder Engagement Work Package, EFA is creating a Community of Practice to connect patients, professionals, and public health experts for a healthier future.

EFA is proud to announce its participation in LungHealth4Life (LH4L), a pioneering project funded under the EU4Health programme. The project, that started on 1st of September 2024, aims to transform lung health through early intervention, health promotion, and disease prevention in schools across Europe.

LH4L adopts a comprehensive approach, addressing the social, environmental, and educational factors influencing health. Through collaboration and shared expertise, the project aims to reduce the burden of Chronic Respiratory Diseases (CRDs), promote lung health from an early age, and influence public health policies across Europe.

EFA leads the Work Package 2 (WP2) on Stakeholder engagement: Community of Practices, a crucial part of the LH4L project. WP2 focuses on engaging a diverse range of stakeholders - including patients, healthcare professionals, and public health authorities - through the creation of a Community of Practice (CoP). The CoPs will serve as a collaborative platform to share knowledge, best practices, and develop practical tools for lung health promotion.

With the Community of Practice, EFA and the LH4L will involve associations working with patients and youth communities, as well as education specialists and healthcare professionals, to discuss, share and, together, inspire new methodologies for lung health prevention that can be replicated across Europe.

LungHealth4Life is paving the way for a healthier future by ensuring that lung health is a priority from childhood onwards. Through this project, EFA is committed to making a lasting impact on lung health and public health policy across Europe, ensuring that future generations breathe easier and live healthier lives.
