EFA Member ABBA (Association of Bulgarians with Bronchial Asthma, Allergy and COPD) has campaigned at national level during the month of May to raise awareness on respiratory diseases in Bulgaria.
It is the case of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, a condition that poses a real burden to patients that will need not only medical treatment but also social care and assistance. Diana Hadjiangelov resumed ABBA’s asks in an interview for a national newspaper, Lechitel.
At the same time that the European Youth Week, ABBA raised awareness about asthma and how to prevent it in kindergardens in Sofia. In connection of ABBA’s action, a media article showcased reasons why asthma prevention and care should start at early stages in public schools, allowing children with asthma to move and play freely with other children to encourage their development.
