On 10th of June 2015 the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) organised a public hearing on digital health with EU representatives, academics, researchers, business and patients' representatives to address issues like health literacy and digital literacy, digital information within the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI), the use of mobile devices and apps in a medical context, or the role of EMA.
The event allowed participants to express their views and expectations on the topic of digital health, providing a useful base for further reflection at appropriate political and strategic level. EESC own initiative opinion on this issue will certainly be a useful tool to advance on digital health.
Presentations of the event are available here.
