On the 19-20th of October, EFA had the pleasure to host a meeting of the Nordic Heart and Lung Alliance. 12 members of the Alliance, composed of lung and heart patient groups from Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Iceland had a series of meetings in Brussels.
Following this the participants visited the Parliamentarium and met with MEP’s from their member countries, to discuss the issues faced by the patients they represent and highlight the valuable work of their member organisations. Also the European Lung and Heart Network presented in the meeting the progress of their work, and EFA’s Jelena Malinina had the opportunity visit and present at their members meeting. As part of their programme of events they met with EFA and presented the work of their organisations to the team. EFA presented an overview of our activities and partnerships to the group, and fruitful discussions followed these presentations. The meeting provided an opportunity to learn from each other and share perspectives on topics of mutual interest.
EFA welcomes this exchange and sincerely thanks the Nordic Alliance for donating a home for one Iraqi refugee family in our name, though the UNHRC!
