By the end of 2015 EFA aims to collect samples of best practice patient education materials, developed by EFA Members, in the areas of asthma, allergy and COPD. These materials will be published on a dedicated webpage of EFA website and available for everybody’s use and reference.
The aim of the project is to provide a support to member organisations, regardless of their size, and to all groups tasked with the dissemination and development of patient education materials, in several languages. We want to provide samples of best practice to help organisations provide tailored and accessible information and to support and empower patients in the management of their condition. By learning from each other’s work it is hoped that we can continually improve our materials and communication with patients.
The collection will also serve as the first step towards developing EFA patient education guidelines, based on the rich expertise and diversity of our members.
The patient education materials can be forwarded to EFA in any form: leaflets, videos, parts of the campaigns, infographics, etc. These materials will be collected, classified and presented based on each condition, using a systematic approach and one easy to navigate. Patient education materials can be provided in your national language.
