Our latest survey on adherence to treatment of young patients with asthma will be presented at the European Health Forum Gastein (EHFG), the most influential EU health policy conference that will take place from the 28th to the 30th of September in Austria.
EFA is organising a session at the 19th European Health Forum Gastein (EHFG), the most influential health event in Europe that will take place from the 28th to the 30th of September in Austria.
On the 29th of September from 17:00 to 19:30, EFA will have a 30 minutes slot to present the results of our project on adherence to treatment of young patients with asthma. Despite the availability of effective treatment options, medical adherence to asthma remains a challenge, especially for adolescents. Through a multinational survey especially prepared for young people with asthma, we gained insight into adolescents’ own viewpoints and we developed recommendations and specific actions to support their adherence to treatment.
Presenters include Prof. Erkka Valovirta, who will present the results of the survey, and the Member of the European Parliament Mrs Karen Kadenbach (Austria, S&D), who will present the policy recommendations for improving adherence to treatment among adolescents with asthma included in our HEY YA! Report (HEalth Literacy, Young Patients with Asthma and Adherence to Treatment: EFA Report and European Recommendations)
