Mr. Wilhelmus Henricus Joannes Maria Wientjens passed away in peace last 28th July 2016. He was an asthma patient and a devoted diabetes advocate. At EFA, we had the chance and honour to work with him, bringing the patient perspective to the European level - he was deeply involved with the International Diabetes Federation -.
A young-minded and optimistic person, he always said he had the privilege to live 'in overtime' for over 25 years. We wish to thank him and his family for all the time dedicated to the patient cause.
