The Health and Environment alliance (HEAL) Annual General Assembly was held on the 20th of October to take stock of the year and plan for 2017. The AGA welcomed five more Members from Serbia, Sweden and the UK and elected a new Executive Committee. EFA Isabel Proaño and other 6 representatives was elected by the AGA for four years (replacing EFA Roberta Savli, currently HEAL Interim Deputy Director) to raise awareness about the impact the environment has in our health and to improve European policies affecting both.
During the AGA, HEAL team presented on the achievements of 2015, among them the impressive campaigns around glyphosate, TTIP or carbon emissions, which have had the snowball effect and have reached many people and decision makers in Europe, raising awareness and inciting change.
