Our Susanna Palkonen went to Estonia in February to meet the Estonian allergy and respiratory groups to introduce the value of joining our network and hear about the challenges and initiatives to address the challenges for people with allergy, asthma and COPD. In Estonia the patient groups are small but do important awareness and patient education activities, in particular for allergy. Estonian patients have good access to care and the smoking cessation support services are developing in a patient centered way, though funding and equal access across the country are a problem.
In our next newsletter we will publish full report on the meeting and at this point we would like thank Kaja Julge from the Estonian Allergy Association for her collaboration in making this meeting a reality!
