We are also excited to assist to  the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) International Conference in Geneva, (Switzerland), from 13 – 17 September 2017.  We will introduce EFA and promote our new and flagship project on Atopic Eczema that has just started. Before summer we had a meeting with EADV's office in Brussels and look forward to a close and long standing partnership.

EFA is one of the patient representatives of this year congress, which main topic focuses on “Clinical immunology: The new immunotherapies“. Different sessions of different formats will cover the important fields in dermatology and venereology, such as allergic, autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases, immunodeficiencies, as well as the immunotherapies of infectious and malignant diseases.

EFA’s new project in this field , through the development of the first European survey to assess the life of patients with severe atopic eczema.

The aim is to raise awareness about a disease that has for long been dismissed as a superficial skin disease and to highlight the burden of the disease, the quality of life and the psycho social and economic implications AE has on the lives of patients and their families.

With this survey that will be conducted in 9 EU countries, we hope to fill that gap in Europe, help to  patients with their disease and the lay public, physicians and the healthcare community to better understand atopic eczema and its’ impact on the lives of patients who suffer from this socially isolating disease.
