Since October, Asmamadrid, part of EFA member FENAER, organizes singing workshops with the objective of improving pulmonary capacity and better oxygenation control. The activity has been very well perceived by patients, and even been awarded with three prizes: the “VitalAire help for the patient”, the “Best patients’ project 2017” for the Spanish medical society of pneumology, and the second prize at the IEXP Congress 2017.
To end the year, the 18th December the chorus offered a performance. Patients can improve the capacity of their lungs thanks to singing techniques, which oblige respiratory muscles to exercise, leading to a better pulmonary control and capacity.
