On the International Day of the Emergency Number 112, EFA member the Finnish Allergy, Skin and Asthma Federation launched an awareness campaign on allergy management, encouraging Finns to learn how to provide first aid treatment for anaphylaxis correctly.

Anaphylaxis refers to a sudden, severe allergic general reaction. Severe food allergies, tracheal allergies, and drug allergies are the most common cause of anaphylaxis. The symptoms develop rapidly making essential to react quickly and effectively. As sometimes the adrenaline-auto-injectors are not at hand, the federation has published a video guide to learn how to use adrenaline injectors as part of basic first aid training.
