Next 9th October 2018, the European Parliament Interest Group on Allergy and Asthma, is organising an event entitled “How to overcome the barriers to research in chronic NCDs in Europe? The case of allergy and asthma”. The event will take place in the European Parliament in Brussels and will be co-hosted by Members of the European Parliament Nessa Childers (S&D, Ireland), Anna Záborská (EPP, Slovakia) and David Borrelli (NI, Italy).

Next 9th October 2018, the European Parliament Interest Group on Allergy and Asthma, is organising an event entitled “How to overcome the barriers to research in chronic NCDs in Europe? The case of allergy and asthma”. The event will take place in the European Parliament in Brussels and will be co-hosted by Members of the European Parliament Nessa Childers (S&D, Ireland), Anna Záborská (EPP, Slovakia) and David Borrelli (NI, Italy). The Interest Group is co-run by EFA and the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI).
During the event experts from the health sector, including European Commission representatives, European medical societies and from EFA’s side, Erna Botjes, Vice-President of EFA, representing patients’ perspectives, will discuss what is needed to drive improvements, better understanding and development of better treatments for patients with allergy and asthma in the framework of the EU research and innovation programmes (Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe).
